Good morning! Let’s take a moment to slow down this morning and think about the truth that as we sit down to open the Word of God; we have the opportunity to enjoy a quiet moment with our Creator and know Him more!
If we want our relationship with another person to grow, we need to spend time with them – watching what they do and how they respond, listening to what is important to them, conversing with them to share life experiences, laughing with them as you enjoy your time together, and encouraging each other through good and bad!
How much more important is it to spend time with God?! How amazing is it that we have this opportunity?! If we do not spend time with God, we are missing out on:
- Seeing what God has done
- Knowing His heart for ALL people
- Conversation with the One who made you
- Joy in all circumstances
- Accountability to do the right thing no matter what
“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
John 15:4-5
Heavenly Father, thank you for the promise that You are always with us. Even now, as we set aside time to spend with You, You are here in our midst and have been waiting for us! Help us to recognize the importance of slowing down to experience relationship with You! Apart from You, we can do nothing! In Jesus Name – AMEN!
