Good morning! Last night I had the wonderful opportunity to hang out with five of my siblings and their families. We had such a great time together and it’s so much fun catching up in person about things you find out through text messages, social media, phone calls, or just through the grapevine.
And then there are the kids – it is so much fun watching them pick up right where they left off last time they saw each other!
I would try to sit and enjoy time with each person to make the most of the time we had together! Time truly is a gift from God! We all have families, jobs, and responsibilities, but we need to make time to be together! It is so important to continue growing in our relationship with one another.
I did not anticipate that I would be able to see this many family members while taking a short trip to Jersey. I try to give advance notice of when I’ll be around, but never expect them to drop everything to come hang with me and my family. We understand that life continues to happen and sometimes the timing of our trip does not align with everyone’s schedules.
This trip has refreshed my soul! It has been about eight months since I last made the trip home and honestly, that was way too long! I was reminded of how loved we are by them and took advantage of the time we spent together to do our best to love on them!

Whenever God gives us the opportunity—like a visit with family—we’re called to use it to love and bless others. Everyday is a new chance to speak life into others—to encourage, to reconnect. Even a short visit can carry eternal value.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of time! Help us to never take it for granted! Help us to use every opportunity to shine our light bright for You! Thank You for the family that You have blessed each one of us with and help us to continue to love them, encourage them, and pray for them! In Jesus Name – AMEN!
