Good morning! I want to start this morning by wishing my Dad a Happy Birthday!! He has always encouraged me to look to Jesus as my source of hope and strength by bringing everything to God in prayer! He always encourages me by letting me know he is praying for me, and selflessly puts his children’s needs above his own. I’m thankful for my Dad and the love that He shows!

Even though I am now grown and have my own son, there are times when I feel more confident when he is around. I think its still in the back of my mind that if I can’t do something, I know he can!

The same is true for our Heavenly Father but in an even greater sense. When we are unable to accomplish things on our own, we can run to a God who can DO ALL THINGS!

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

    Ephesians 6:12

I have always loved the music of a band called Shane and Shane. The lyrics in their music has always been scriptural and they have always pointed people to Jesus! One of their more recent songs is called “You’ve Already Won.” The lyrics talk about how we are fighting a battle that He has already won! We may not know what He is doing, but we know what He has done!

When we spend time in prayer, it is important to recognize that we come from a place of victory! God has the final word! Be encouraged that God works outside of our time and ways. He may not do what we want or expect, but His plans and purpose are greater!

Heavenly Father, I recognize that my struggles today aren’t against the people or circumstances around me, but against the enemy. While the enemy wants to destroy me, I know that You came to give me life to the fullest. I don’t have to fear the enemy because the One who is in me is greater than the one who is in the world. In. Jesus Name – AMEN!
