Good morning! My prayer for these posts in the morning is that they would help in drawing us closer to Jesus. It is so important for us to spend quality time with Jesus each day. The time of day, scripture you read, and how much time you spend in prayer and worship are not the important things.
What matters most is that you spend time with Him – meditate on His Word, express your thankfulness, and believe for Him to do what He has promised in your life.
Ask Him to lead you and guide you!
Ask Him to transform your heart to resemble His!
Ask Him to use you to make an eternal impact in this world!
And then… LISTEN.
I’ve been encouraged recently as I read through God’s Word how His people always seek His guidance before making a move. Whether it was David asking God if he should go into a specific battle or Paul asking if he should go to minister to a specific city, the Lord answered them! I have been challenged to not make any moves -BIG or small – in my life without first asking God and listening for His guidance!
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight.”
Proverbs 3:6-6
Heavenly Father, this morning we trust and declare that you know better than we do! We submit to your love and authority and ask you to direct every step we take today. We do not want to make a move without you leading us there! Thank you for all you do! In Jesus Name – AMEN!
