Good morning! This morning as I get ready to go to church, I want to talk about transforming community among the body of Christ using Paul’s example found in 1 Thessalonians 2:8-13

If we want to be an influential part of the body of Christ, Paul’s example shows us its going to take the following:

1 – Genuine Love and Commitment for One Another

2 – Hard Work and Sacrifice

    3 – Integrity in Conduct

4 – Encouraging and Urging Others to Live Worthy of God

5 – Applying the Word of God

If we focus on being diligent and intentional on those 5 things, our relationship with God and others will be transformed with an increased impact on each other and our community. Let’s commit to displaying those things in our lives daily.

This morning I am excited to have the opportunity to meet with the body of Christ at my local church! It truly is a privilege! We cannot take for granted the fact that we can meet together to encourage, support, challenge, and fellowship with like minded believers! Each time we gather, we have the opportunity to support each other and challenge each other to grow by the stories we share about what God has done and is doing in our lives!

Don’t miss this opportunity today! The early church in the book of Acts sets the example for us.

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

    Acts 2:42

The early church community adopted the virtue of being steadfast, emphasizing the importance of remaining faithful and committed to their faith and each other. This dedication was crucial for the survival and growth of the early church and remains necessary for today’s church as well!

We need to be steadfast – resolutely firm and unwavering – in our devotion to God’s Word, fellowship, communion, and prayer!

Heavenly Father, thank You for the privilege of meeting together to worship You and encouraging each other to live lives that honor You! Help us to be steadfast and unwavering in our commitment to each other! We pray for the services at our churches this morning, that there would be a fresh excitement to be in Your House and complete surrender in our hearts for what You want to do! In Jesus Name – AMEN!
